Here I am!

Well, once again I've found myself homeless, so no new decorating projects to report...but here are some pics of my latest hair-do!

I used photobucket to enhance them...

It's been a long time..

It's been a long time since I blogged about anything, probably because I haven't been decorating or sewing, or throwing any parties.  I've been doing all those things in my head though, and the thing that has been on my mind lately is rattan!  Here are a few of my favorite vintage rattan or bamboo pieces...

For more information, google "vintage rattan furniture".  Happy hunting!

North, to Alaska!

Howdy, Readers!

Yes I have moved a lot, yes I did it again.  My hubby recently acquired a great job in the great state of Alaska, and I joined him here a few days before Christmas.  My blog has been slow going without Internet access for the last several months, but I found a quaint little coffee shop round the corner from my pad that has the net, so I'm back! I couldn't bring my beautiful things with me, so I'm starting from scratch...again. On the bright side, I love decorating and I love treasure hunting for beautiful vintage things, so all is well.
Living here in Alaska has already been an adventure; I spent the first week without anything but the clothes on my back after the airline refused to take my bags because I was late.  My husband and I don't even have a can opener and we've been waiting for the rental company to fix our washing machine for a month.  Yesterday we found out we weren't getting our mail after two weeks of waiting, because the mail boxes are privately owned and if we want one we have to buy it and install it in zero degree weather. That's not all, we were told by three companies that they couldn't provide Internet to us at our house because apparently there isn't enough Internet to go around...I didn't even know that was possible.  Oh, and today I got stuck in the snow:)
